Helpful Minecraft Tip

So yesterday my sister started to have the black screen problem with her Minecraft. So today I spent a good amount of my time researching and I eventually solved her problem, and I thought it might be helpful to put it on here. So here are the steps for fixing this problem on PC.

  1. Go to start
  2. Go to the search bar and type: Run
  3. Then click the program
  4. A box will pop up and you will type: %adddata%
  5. Press ok
  6. Go to your .minecraft folder
  7. Open the folder and drag the saves folder to your desktop
  8. (Optional) If you have any texturepacks you want to save also drag that folder onto your desktop
  9. Delete the whole .minecraft folder except the things that were dragged to your desktop.
  10. Go on minecraft and you will find that all of your single player worlds are gone.
  11. Go back to the .minecraft folder and drag in the saves folder into the folder and replace the empty saves folder. (a new .minecraft folder will pop up once you delete the old one.)
  12. (Optional) Also add the texturepacks folder if you want to have your old texturepacks.
  13. Enjoy your fixed minecraft.
Just a little notice is that your multiplayer games you were playing on that you saved will disappear. I hope you find this post helpful. :)

Talk to you soon,
Caro
