1.9 comes out!!!

It's caro, and the moment we've been waiting for is finally here!!! Yes, that is the minecraft 1.9 update!! Here is a overview of some of the items. This is a quick post because I still need to do my homework.

Minecraft has been updated to version 1.9! The pretty much almost complete feature list: * Added shields * Attacking now has a “cool-down” delay, making it more important to time your attacks * You can now hold items in both hands (default quick key to swap items is ‘F’) * Swords have a special sweep attack * Axes have a special crushing blow attack * Added the elytra * New mob: Shulker * Expanded The End * Added Chorus plants * New Purpur blocks * New End Rod block * Added dragon head block * Ender Dragon can be resummoned * Added beetroot and beetroot soup (from MC:PE) * Added grass path block * Added igloos * Armor protection values have been lowered * Added tipped arrows * Added spectral arrows * Added Frost Walker enchantment and frosted ice block * Added a whole bunch of new sound effects * Added sound effect subtitles * Brewing Stand now requires Blaze Powder to activate * Added skeleton riders * We believe we’ve fixed MC-10 and a whole bunch of other issues - Removed Herobrine

I'm not quite sure how to work the elytra but I jumped of a high ledge.
Now when you sleep you can see your feet and the items that is in your hand.

Unfortunately the date of the 1.9 release date has been pushed back to Monday February 29, 2016

Countdown to Minecraft 1.9

Surprise! I didn't have swimming tonight I think because the heater broke because the last week the water has been super cold. So I decided to post! Today I will be showing you more things that are going to be in the update 1.9. Last post I told you all about the elytra, shields, the shulker, and boats.
Here is something that is going to be a big change in minecraft in the update 1.9

Dual Wielding:

Dual wielding means that you will be able to hold things in both of your minecraft hands. You can go into your settings and change which hand is your main hand and which one is your off hand.

Here are somethings you should know:
You can only attack with your main hand so it is pointless to hold weapons in both.
You can not use both hands at the same time.

Weapons that can be used in off hand:
Bows
Splash potions
Eggs
Snowballs

Tools that can be used in the off hand:
Bucket
Fishing rod
Flint and steel
Hoe
Lead
Shears
Shield
Shovel

Countdown to 1.9:
2 days (counting today and today is 2/23/16)

WORLD PROTECTION carocraft 2.0 ep5

Hello everyone, its caro and just recently I noticed that a zombie pigman had come out of my nether portal!

This is when I decided that I needed to protect my world more.
How? Let me show you:

2. create a house or structure around your portal with a door to get in and out
And your done!!

Hi everyone it's caro. This weekend I have my last championship meet which means I will have a lot more posts coming. As you might have seen in my last post, 1.9 is coming out on
Thursday February 25, 2016 
I will have a lot of posts then, coming up with stuff about 1.9. If I can, I might post something on the day that 1.9 comes out, If not, I would look forward to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday full of posts. I might even be able to post a video, but it might not have audio, I'm working on it.

1.9 Minecraft Update

Everyone! The Minecraft 1.9 update is finally coming! Thursday February 25, 2016
Here are some items and things that are going to be in the update so you can get familiar with the update. Also since the update is coming that means the videogames series is coming back!!

ITEMS:

Elytra:
The elytra is an item in minecraft that you can wear that will help you glide from high places. The elytra can not be crafted, it can only be found in the end city.





The elytra can be broken and it has a different texture when it is broken. To fix a broken or used elytra you can craft two together or put it in an anvil and repair with leather.


The elytra can also match with the design that your cape has if you have a cape on.



Shield:
The shield is added into the 1.9 version and it helps the character defend itself. There is a special spot to put your shield if you press "e".

The shield can be crafted using 1 iron ingot and any kind of wood.


To color shields you add a banner to the shield or you can keep the shield plain.


Boat:
In the minecraft 1.9 update the boats changed and now for whatever type of wood you use, the boat will be that color. The boat is still crafted the same way even though the texture is different and there are ores added.

Now you can travel with a pet in your boat at the same time that you are in the boat.


Mobs:

Shulker:
Shulkers are mobs that are found in ender cities. When you are hit by one, you get a levitating effect that makes you float into the sky unwillingly. Sometimes you can die from the damage of falling after the levitating effect has worn off.

How to get rid of a sore throat

Do you have a sore throat? Save a trip to the pharmacy or doctor by using this method to prevent form getting sick!


I would recommend eating oranges or grapefruit and drinking orange juice or fruit juice. I would recommend getting lots of rest so at night, go to bed early! Also drink lots of water.

I would also recommend adding some Emergen-C to your water which gives you a boost in vitamin C which helps you not get sick.

My last tip is to exercise. Weather it's taking a walk around town, doing push ups, swimming, running, etc. it all helps.

Traumatic Moment Caro's Life Weekend edition 2/12/16-2/14/16

Hi everyone! It's caro, I feel like I haven't written in a really long time. I planned not to post this weekend because I had a really important swim meet, but yesterday my opinion changed. At this swim meet I swam many events:
Friday-
500 freestyle

Saturday-
200 freestyle
100 backstroke
50 freestyle

Sunday-
200 IM
100 freestyle
200 backstroke

All the events went well. I improved my time and came first in my heat for a few events and got rubber duckies :)

The traumatic thing that happened was right before the 50 freestyle my goggles broke. It was right when my heat was called, all the other people in the heat were standing on the blocks. I told my timer what happened and he was just like "uh..." Luckily the officials waited for me, I honestly was almost going to go and do the race without my goggles. Luckily a girl in one of the later heats lent me her goggles. I am so grateful for the girl that lent me her goggles. I'm pretty sure her name was Michelle. I still can't believe this happened even though it's Sunday.

I swam for the whole weekend and I even skipped part of school on Friday to go to this swim meet.

Growing carocraft 2.0 ep4

Hello everyone! It's caro, how is your day going? Mine is going fabulous. Why? Today I have a snow day!!!! Today I am going to show you all some things I added on to carocraft since the last post. (I pre made the last post so I did not do all of this in one day.)

1. Carocraft Community Pool

There is a nice large pool with a smaller pool above with a waterfall going down. There is a nice path that leads up to the smaller pool and there are nice lounge chairs. (the chicken was killed. RIP)

2. Carocraft Dog House

This is the exterior. My inspiration was a real life dog house. This is actually a really cozy place. Here is the inside:

This is a bird's eye view of the interior of the dog house. I need names for each dog color so comment below some name ideas!

3. Carocraft Market

This is the carcraft market. Comment below something that should be sold in the tents.

I am accepting recommendations for the carocraft 2.0 recommendations city! Right now I only have one resident in the carocraft 2.0 recommendation city! I would prefer if you did house recommendations for the city.

Valentine's Day Special carocraft 2.0 ep3

Valentine's Day is coming up and since I'm going to be at a swim meet then, I decided to post this now. Here are some ways you can prepare for Valentine's Day in your minecraft world. 
Here is the first thing you should do. It is the most known thing about Valetine's Day which are hearts:

This is an example of how to create a heart in minecraft. Below I added a present to me from my fake minecraft boyfriend or bae. I think it is ok in this case to give yourself something from creative mode.

Next is to get your boyfriend or bae. I don't know about you but I don't have a boyfriend or bae. So I decided to create one out of my one of my favorite minecraft mobs:
 
Then I took a name tag and put it in an anvil. When you put a name tag in a anvil you can name your mob however you want. I decided on bae.

e.l.f. Matte Top Coat Review

Recently I have gotten the e.l.f. matte top coat nail polish and I wanted to share what I thought of it.
Here is a before picture:

There are also names of the nail polish on each nail. (None means there is no nail polish)

None worked out pretty well. The result is not too obvious on camera but there is a bit of a difference.

This did not work too well. I did make it a bit matte but the metallic is too "powerful".

This did work. I think it works best of darker solid colors.

This was just like the plain nail but it didn't really work. (It is still shiny because it hadn't tried completely yet.

This also did work. It is hard to tell though.

Recap:
I think matte nail polish works best on solid color nail polish. I also think it works better when the color is on the darker side. Also when I was applying the matte top coat it looked clear to start, but don't get discouraged! It turns out matte when it dries.
