Caro's CRAZY Life Weekend Edition 5/14/16-5/15/16
Hey everyone!! Surprise! I have a post for you all!! Happy middle of the week, I hope you are all surviving. I'm definitely struggling a lot.
So this past weekend, 5/14/16-5/15/16 I was at a swim meet. It wasn't just a regular swim meet, it was a long course swim meet (the pool is 50m long instead of 25yds long) and it was outside...
Saturday
So on Saturday my family traveled to the outdoor pool. It was about a 2.5 hour ride, it was fairly long. So we arrived to the pool at about 2:00 pm. Warm up was about 2:25 pm, so we had some time to set up our chairs under the tents with our teams. It was pretty chilly. Then it was warm up time, it was definitely difficult to go from fully clothed to half naked/only have a swim suit on. Although the pool was heated so the water ended up being 84°F (that is SUPER hot for competitive swimming, it's like swimming in a bath). Basically not many people were doing well at this meet on this day. Also there was supposed to be a thunder storm later in the meet so many people including me and my team mates got scratched from the last race of that day, the 200 freestyle.
Later that day at about 7:30 pm, when my family was on our way to getting dinner. We were in the car and it started raining. Eventually it rained much harder, then became a downpour. Then there was one flash of lightning and one clap of thunder then it stopped raining. wtf...
Sunday
Sunday was much more of a crazy day. Again, like yesterday, we needed to be at the pool at 2:00 pm. It was SUPER cold, it was 50°F, It was also VERY windy. The flags that you see at pools were horizontal instead of vertical.
At one point it was sunny and it was really nice. The majority of the time it was very cloudy. At another point it was raining for again a few seconds. Then another time, IT HAILED.
That wasn't the worst part, since the difference from the actual temperature to the water temperature was so large,(34° difference to be exact) it affected people greatly. The most common thing that happened was when people swam, they would loose feeling in their feet, their feet would tingle, and they would hurt. It happened to pretty much everyone. Since it was so cold, the coaches were literally expecting nothing from us, many people added 3, 5, 10, or even more seconds to their times.
This was the experience of my first outdoor swim meet.
I hope you all enjoyed this post. Comment below if you have had a crazy event like this.

Product Review
Today's Product Review:
Lucas' PawPaw Ointment
I have braces and have pretty dry lips, so I have spent the winter and part of spring searching for a good product for my lips. It has been a pretty difficult process finding something that was good for my lips. I tried many things. When I used the Lucas' PawPaw Ointment within days of continuous appliance, my lips looked normal again and wayyy better.
The link above is the exact product I use.
If you ask me:
What do you rate this product??
I'll say:
❅❅❅❅❅
I rate this product a 5 star because of how quickly it saved my lips from intense dryness. Now after just after a few days of applying continuously, my lips are back to a normal look and only get slightly dry and now I only need to put this on in the morning and at night. This product was a big life saver.

P.S. What do you all think of the new Instagram up date?? Comment below. If you don't have an Instagram, you can just search on Google, New Instagram.

My First Scar - Story Time
My first scar was when I was little. I don't remember the story so I have been told by my parents what has happened. When I was little I climbed the TV one day and ended up falling with the TV. Luckily the only thing that happened was I got a cut that was about a few inches across the top of my left foot. There were no stitches needed. Now to this day, I have a large scar on my left foot that stretches a few inches. It is still slightly visible. This is all that has been told to me about this story. Comment below and share your first scar story.
Have a great day,

Mother's Day DIY
DIY #1:
Hand Made Card
Nothing may be more special than a hand made card. You may not have the best art skills ever, but on mother's day your art skills don't count, it's the thought that counts.
DIY #2:
Decoration
Decoration could be a simple garland with hearts or flowers. I made a garland that says
"WE ♥ MOMMY" You can do any phrase that you want. If you choose to do a garland I recommend using card stock. Card stock is a sturdier paper that I personally like using better than regular paper.
Tip: For the O in MOMMY I took a pencil or pend and in the inner circle on a soft surface like a mouse pad, I poked the inside instead of folding the O to cut out the inside.
To attach the letters to the string or twine you can use tape, hole punch the ends, but I recommend using a hot glue gun or glue to make sure that the letters stay in the place you want it and don't move around. Also if you want to make the letters equally spaced on the string or twine, use a ruler and mark where you are putting the letters with marker or sharpie. Feel free to make the string or twine as long as you would like.
DIY #3:
Flowers
A gift to your mother could be as simple as giving her flowers that she may like. As I said before, it's not about the amount of gifts given, or the quality of the gift, it's the thought.
DIY #4:
Make a meal
A gift to your mother could also be as simple as making a meal such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a treat like chocolate chip cookies.
Here is a recipe to chocolate chip cookies from Betty Croker: http://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/ultimate-chocolate-chip-cookies/77c14e03-d8b0-4844-846d-f19304f61c57
